Despite their poor on-screen chemistry in the recently released, Umrao Jaan, the fact is Ash and Abhishek are going really strong in their personal lives. The two were even caught smooching in their makeup van during the shoot of Mani Ratnam’s Guru in Chennai. The latest issue of STARDUST carries a cover story about how the two exchanged garlands in a temple in Madurai. From what we’ve heard, the Bachchans will be announcing the engagement sometime in January and are looking at a February wedding. So why is the couple still fighting shy and refusing to acknowledge the fact in print? The truth is that Yash Chopra has promised them to keep it under wraps, at least till the release of Dhoom 2. He’s worried that this bit of news will affect his film as Ash is paired with Hrithik Roshan and the two are playing negative characters.
Ash is actually plotting against Abhishek in the film, which a certain section of the audience, particularly in the smaller centers, will not be able to digest.
