After being given a clean chit by the customs department in the mysterious parcel containing 23,000 euros case, the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai now seems to have been caught in a hawala tangle.

Reports are that the Enforcement Directorate is now investigating a case against Ash where she may have allegedly received Rs. 50 lakhs through the sinister hawala system from an event organization in Dubai.

Ash along with other Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan , Akshay Kumar , John Abraham and Bipasha Basu were to do a show which was later cancelled but according to their agreement they were to receive their payment.

An official from the ED department claims that the payment was made through hawala.

According to the official a raid was recently conducted at Manun Thakur Talenting, a small firm in Andheri, which was the Dubai firm’s indian agent.

According to some documents seized from the company there are indications that the money may have been distributed to Ash and other Bollywood stars through hawala channels.

However even in Ash’s tax returns there is no mention of any such payments.

Neither Ash nor her secretary Hari Singh was available for any comment on the issue.

A thorough investigation by the ED is likely to be conducted.
