Aishwarya Rai’s fame has reached as far as Madame Tussauds’ with her wax statue being installed in London. in india, Arjun Prajapati, a local artist from Jaipur, is busy creating 25 sculptures exclusively dedicated to her.
The renowned artiste, who is known for making statues of Gods and Goddesses, says, “For me, she is a form of Goddess Durga. Just like the goddess, Aishwarya’s pictures can be found everywhere; in shops, homes, markets.”
According to the President’s Award winner, “Aishwarya has the perfect face to inspire an artiste, and so i am creating images depicting all facets of her beauty.” The sculptures are expected to take about seven months to complete after which the sculptor wishes to hold an exhibition of the same in Mumbai which he wants Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai to inaugurate.
After the exhibition, he plans to gift all the statues to the model. it may be added that Prajapati has already made statues of well-known personalities like ghazal singer Jagjit Singh, Manisha Koirala and Lata Mangeshkar.
