The newly engaged couple is apparently so busy with their movie commitments that they have no time to sit with their parents and fix a wedding date.

Media is full of speculations about their wedding date. Reports even suggest that both Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are themselves impatient to tie the nuptial knot. Then what is preventing them from doing so? Work commitments.

Amitabh Bachchan is reported to have said that everyone in the family wants to see Ash and Abhi married soon, but since the two have been busy with their movie commitments they have not been able to take out time to fix a wedding date.

Abhi has recently been busy with Goldie Behl’s movie Drona . Although he is free nowadays because one schedule of the movie has been postponed, Ash is still busy with Ashutosh Gowarikar’s project Jodha Akbar . She can’t leave the project hanging halfway because a lot of money is already spent on sets and her costumes, and her later dates with co-star Hrithik Roshan may not match.

On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan is in Delhi presently, attending the parliament.

“We still haven’t got a date. The two of them (Ash and Abhi) are so busy, we haven’t been able to sit down and work it out…I’m hoping we’d be able to sit down and finally, work out a date soon,” Amitabh Bachchan is quoted as saying.

In the meantime, Tourism ministries of several European nations have already begun sending honeymoon invitations to Ash and Abhi.

It appears Abhishek and Aishwarya are not the only ones impatient about their wedding.
