The wedding of Bollywood’s two stars — Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai — will take place at 6.30 in the evening on April 20, as decided by the family’s pandits.

Yes, the ceremony will be held at the Bachchans’ Juhu villa in Mumbai. According to reliable sources, Bachchans are taking due care against any lapse in arrangements.

So, they have sought special security from the police besides hiring a private agency to take care of the inner security during the wedding functions.

The security officer says, “We have also been told to look after the massive crowd that is bound to gather during the wedding functions outside the venue.

Though very few close friends and family members are scheduled to arrive for the wedding ceremony and the functions around it. But with most of them being VVIPs and VIPs, it will be strenuous for us to provide them cover and keep the thronging crowd outside in control”.

A source close to the Bachchan family has revealed the line up of various functions planned around the Abhi-Ash wedding on April 20th. The sangeet ( music night) will take place at Jalsa on April 18. The mehendi is the next day at Ash’s Bandra residence, Le Mer.

The bidaai ( farewell ) function, where the bride bids adieu to her parents’ house, will be held a day after the wedding at Aish’s residence. The Bachchans have postponed the reception party for the couple to June presumably because of Amitabh’s mother’s illness.
