Those who are a part of it can’t talk about it and those who aren’t, can’t do anything but talk about it. It is not a riddle- that’s the Ash-Abhi wedding for you.

However, even as friends and Bollywood biggies keep mum about the wedding, Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s brother’s son and Amitabh Bachchan’s first cousin from Nagpur, Prabhat Srivastava and his wife Dr Mohini were more than willing to talk about the big wedding.

The family was busy putting together a very special gift pack for the couple to be, before they left for Mumbai on Wednesday.

“As tradition demands, we have made a Ganapati made of beetle nut and some sindoor, which we will be taking along in the gift pack,” said Prabhat.

And the family had a local artist working over time to give a personal touch to the gifts.

“We have made a small personalised gift-set for Aishwarya and Abhishek like diaries,” said owner, Handmaze, Anula Goenka.

Prabhat has also written a poem, which may be the best gift for the occasion.

Meanwhile, apart from gifting a book on Indian culture with stress on the significance of mangliks, Abhishek’s chachiji, has a piece of advice for the saas and bahu to be.

Says Dr Mohini, ”Every mother-in-law and every daughter-in-law should keep pace with the changing times. There should be less expectations from both the parties.”
