In a bizarre incident, a struggling actress of Bollywood, attempted suicide outside Bachchans’ residence Prateeksha last night alleging that Abhishek Bachchan had ditched her in love. She blamed Aishwarya Rai for snatching “her man” away.

Jahanvi, who featured in the promotional song of Abhishek Bachchan-starrer movie ‘Dus’, slashed her wrist in despair last night and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors put as many as ten stitches.

Jahanvi told media persons that she was Abhishek Bachchan’s girlfriend and they were going around for ten months before Aishwarya came into the scene.

According to her, she and Abhishek would meet regularly in Greenfield at Juhu and “were really happy” as a couple. She even alleged that they were physically involved and Bachchan Junior had promised to marry her.

“I no longer want to live as Abhishek has ditched me and is getting married to Aishwarya,” said Jahanvi.

However, further investigations by the media revealed that Jahanvi is a Muslim and her real name is Sayeeda Haya Fatima. She was married to Kalbe Hussain, son of well-known Shia cleric Kalbe Sadiq, in April 1997 at Lucknow. However, they got divorced in the year 2000.

Maulana Kalbe Sadiq is one of the leading Ithna Ashari Shia Ulema of India. He hails from a learned Shia family of Lucknow that has produced numerous scholars in the past.

Reports also suggest that she has a ten-year old son from her marriage.

When contacted, Jahanvi denied being married to Husssin and insisted that she in fact got married to Abhishek Bachchan in a secret ceremony in December last year. She also alleged that for Abhishek’s love, she also gave up offers of several key projects of Bollywood.

While blaming Aishwarya Rai for her breaking her relationship with Junior Bachchan, Jahanvi said, “Aishwarya decided to produce Umrao Jaan only to get cozy with Abhishek and snatch him away from me.” There seems to be holes in her story as Aishwarya was not the producer of the film.

She also alleged that Samajwadi Party leader and close ally of Bachchans, Amar Singh, had threatened to kill her and had even sent his men to ransack her car.

Meanwhile, the aspiring Bollywood starlet was arrested by Juhu Police after a case of ‘attempted suicide’ was lodged against her.
