Everyone is celeb spotting at Cannes. Some are doing it out of curiosity while some for work.

At five o’ clock in the morning, photographers line up with stools and stepladders to click the photos.

If someone is lucky, he will go back with as many as 2,000 photos.

Amongst the photographers, there is a man who likes to photograph Aishwarya Rai and this year he was lucky when she stepped down from her car before walking the red carpet and signed an autograph.

“She is the most beautiful. We’ve never taken more beautiful pictures. How do you pronounce her name? Aishwarya Rai? That’s hard,” said the French photographer.

“All the photographers here think she is very beautiful,” he added.

Crowds go past the empty red carpet all day, stopping and taking pictures as if it’s a holy shrine and a group of curious Indians from Gujarat try to keep up the morale when they are told that Aishwarya has left Cannes.

Barriers everywhere prevent fans from getting a closer look at their favourite stars just a few meters ahead of them.

But almost everybody goes back from Cannes with an impressive list of celebrities spotted.
