The newly wed former Miss World says she plans to continue working in films but hints at a slow down in the days ahead as she shifts focus to raising children she longs to have.

Speaking to a leading newspaper Aishwarya confirmed the logical and expected given the Bachchan traditions – That she plans to fulfill her existing commitments and then re-orient her life to raise a family.

“In future, obviously there will be children and then I will plan my time accordingly,” she told the paper.

At 33 years of age the former Miss World (1994) would need to get started with raising a family almost immediately. So it is unlikely she will sign too many new films now.

Aishwarya, who has just wrapped up filming for Jodha Akbar, is all set to start filming Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar 2, in which she plays a pivotal role along with husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan.

Speaking about Aishwarya’s role in the film Ram Gopal Varma last month told TOI,

“She will shock audiences. To say she’ll be portrayed like never before would be an understatement. Nobody would expect a looker like her to portray such a dark character. In brief, I want to project her as the opposite of what Sanjay Bhansali did. Her beauty won’t be enhanced by filters and shaded lighting. She’ll be totally without makeup. And that’s when I think she looks her best.”

Following the completion of Sarkar, it remains to be seen if Aishwarya will take on some of the projects she has signed up but which are still currently in pre-production stage.
