‘The Unforgettable’ world tour is on and the Bachchans are readying to go on the trail in July.

Besides the Bachchans - Amitabh , Abhishek , Aishwarya and possibly Jaya - the tour will also include Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta and Ritesh Deshmukh.

Preparations for the tour will rev up following the release of Ram Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar Raj starring Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Tanisha, Victor Banerjee and Supriya Pathak.

The film, the first featuring Aishwarya and Abhishek together following their marriage, is slated for release on May 9.

The tour, which has long been in the works, was initially planned to start in November 2007 and at one point included Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan.

A series of postponements resulted in both Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan pulling out of the tour, being managed by event management company Wizcraft , because of their other commitments.

Original plans called for the tour to kick off from Toronto and spend the first 2 month performing in North American and European cities. Concerts are planned in a total of 25 cites spanning the globe, including those in countries such as Australia, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco and Dubai.

A TV series capturing the backstage and preparation activity will be sold to channels so that viewers experience the excitement of creating such a gigantic international Bollywood show.

If reports that Abhishek and Aishwarya will be working together in Mani Ratnam’s Next, an intense love story based on real life, are correct then the tour should end by September when the film is expected to go on the floors.

However, it may well be that Aishwarya, who will be turning 35 this November, will start her sabbatical from showbiz to start and bring up a family.
