For the first time this year, Aishwarya Rai has won the Best actress award for her performance in the movie, Guru.

The gorgeous actress has won the Best Actress award for ‘Guru’ at the Fifth Annual Central European Bollywood Awards So far, rival actress Kareena Kapoor has pipped her at all major awards for the movie, Jab We met.

An elated Aishwarya Rai told a newspaper, “I am happy to be honored by Annual Central European Bollywood Awards. It’s like double celebration for me as my film Guru too has won Five Awards in different categories.”

Guru had been nominated in 14 categories. It managed to win in Best Script, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Singer and Best Actress.

But the Best movie award went to Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om. Unfortunately, Aishwarya Rai’s hubby Abhishekh Bachchan failed to win for his scintillating performance in Guru.
