One of the best looking couples in Bollywood, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are now set to play royal jodi on the big screen.

It is no secret that Mani Ratnam has roped in the star couple to play the roles based on Lord Ram and his consort Sita in a contemporary adaptation of ‘Ramayan’ titled Ravan .

Now, industry buzz is that a big production house that has worked previously with Abhi-Ash is thinking of cashing on the chemistry of the couple and wants both of them together as Shahjahan and Mumtaz Mahal.

Though nothing is yet confirmed about this project, if Ash does agree it might be her second portrayal of the Mughal queen Mumtaz Mahal. It can be recalled that Ash agreed to play Mumtaz in Sir Ben Kingsley’s movie on Taj Mahal last year. The film is yet to take off.

This aside, Ash was seen playing the Rajput princess Jodhaa Bai married to Emperor Akbar in Jodhaa Akbar .

Right now, Abhishek is busy with Drona ’s promotion and Ash is shooting the big budget sci-fi thriller Robot in the US.
