Who hasn’t’ heard of Aishwarya Rai? Since she became a reigning Miss World in 1994, her beauty has been renowned in the various nooks and crannies of the world. She became even more popular when she joined Bollywood. So, what is she up to lately? Just last Friday at Taj Bengal she walked the ramp at the launch of the Longines new line of watches HydroConquest. Though she said she did not have much experience in walking down the ramp, she did justice to her role as the watch brand’s ambassador.
Her husband Abhishek plays superwoman in his recently released movie “Drona.†She was asked if she wanted to be a superwoman on screen, her answer was very frank. “Why in future? I am already a superwoman in real life. Ask any married woman and she will agree to my answer.†Such a candid answer indeed! She has to make a balance between her personal and professional life, indeed it’s a taxing job.
Aside from being Longine’s brand ambassador and giving candid answers, Aishwarya Rai has also been busy shooting for the cover of Vogue magazine. Don’t be surprised if you see her on the October issue of Vogue. The photoshoot was done by Farrokh Chothia at the end of September while Ash was in London. She said that by doing Vogue she was living up to the promise she made to Anaita Shroff Adajania who is the fashion director for Vogue India.
