The buzz is that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will sing a song in the film ‘Ravana’.
It is said that Music director A R Rahman had composed a song that would have been used for Mani Ratnam’s Lajjo but the film got shelved, Rahman decided to use that same composition for Ravana. If Lajjo had not been shelved, then Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor had to sing it. However, now this composition is being used for Ravana, and Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai will do this song.
It is said that both Abhishek and Aishwary Rai will sing together first time and Ravana may not be the film’s final title. Govinda is also playing a role in the film. The film will be released in 2009.
Commenting on the news music maestro said, “Some of the songs in Lajjo were generic, so we have translocated them into Ravana. Such things happen once in a while. No regrets. Regret is boring. Mani’s new film is a new genre for me. I have done nothing like this before.â€
