International members of Inspector Jacques Clouseau (played by Steve Martin’s special team of investigators in the forthcoming Pink Panther 2 will include roles played by Asian stars.
Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan continues to maintain careers in both worlds of Bollywood and Hollywood. While starring in South Asian blockbusters like Devdas, Dhoom 2, Jodhaa Akbar, and Sarkar Raj, she has also taken on roles in Western films, such as Bride & Predjudice, Mistress of Spices, and The Last Legion.
In The Pink Panther 2, she plays Sonia, an Indian research specialist.
Meanwhile, rising Japanese star Yuki Matsuzaki plays Kenji, a Japanese electronics expert in the film.
Matsuzaki is best known for his work in the films The Last Samurai and Letters From Iwo Jima, and a costarring role on the TV series Heroes.
The film opens in Vancouver on February 6.
