Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai were conferred the Padmashri awards at a function in New Delhi.
The function took place at Ashoka Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Pratibha Patil conferred the awards on the two Bollywood stars for their contribution to the Indian cinema.
Father in law Amitabh Bachchan, husband Abhishek Bachchan and Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna attended the function.
