Guess what I heard… Matt Damon’s Bourne Trilogy has ‘inspired’ two upcoming biggies in B’wood – Saif Ali Khan’s home production Agent Vinod and Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo’s film Crooked.

And what’s more, while Crooked stars husband-wife duo Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai (surprisingly, not opposite each other), Agent Vinod directed by Sriram Raghavan of Johhny Gaddar fame stars power couple Saif and Kareena (very much opposite each other).

According to Crooked producer Ritesh Sidhwani his film is an espionage thriller on the lines of Bourne Identity. But a birdie tells me there’s more similarities than just that, both in terms of basic plot and the treatment.

While Agent Vinod begins shooting this month with a long schedule in London, Crooked has been postponed due to Deo’s wife’s health problems. What remains to be seen is who finishes first. After all, none of us want another ‘Tasveer, Aa Dekhen Zara and Kal Kissne Dekha’ incident!
