Aishwarya shoots for Guzaarish in Mumbai

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who returned to Mumbai a day later than scheduled from the sets of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, has two to three days work left on the film. The actors who was flown back to Mumbai to keep up with her dates for the maiden schedule of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish that took-off in Mumbai over the weekend will be shooting her final scenes for Raavan later this month. In fact, Aishwarya’s remaining scenes will be shot in and around Ooty rather than the dense jungles, which are currently serving as the sets for the film’s unit, including Abhishek Bachchan.

The delay in Aishwarya’s return to Mumbai was triggered by an entire day’s shoot being cancelled after an elephant created havoc on the sets at Athirampally waterfalls in Kerala’s Thrissur district. However, the incident did not take place while shooting a sequence for the film but when one of the two elephants brought for pre-production approval turned amok, killing his mahout. Meanwhile, the Animal Welfare Board has issued Mani Ratnam’s production house – Madras Talkies with a show cause notice for not taking permission to use elephants in the film.

Anuj Saxena shoots in Srinagar despite injury
Anuj Saxena who suffered a head injury while shooting for his home production Chase in Mumbai, is continuing with the film’s shoot. In fact, the actor is currently in Srinagar along with the film’s unit. A thriller, it features Udita Goswami and Gulshan Grover in the lead roles apart from Saxena. Director Jagmohan Mundhra is scheduled to shoot a romantic number as well as some action sequences against the picturesque locales of Dal Lake and Pari Mahal among other locations. The 10-day schedule that kicked-off last week also saw the unit celebrating Saxena’s birthday in the Kashmir capital.

Meanwhile, the actor and producer is recovering from the head injury that saw him getting 16 stitches after he fell against a wooden artefact during a fight sequence with cops. Meanwhile, Udita, who will be back in Mumbai next week along with the unit, will start shooting for the first schedule of the horror film Rokkk along with Tanushree Dutta. The film is to be directed by Rajesh Ranshinge who was worked on television thrillers such as Aahat, Sshhh… Koi Hai and CID in the past.
