Madhuri Dixit was chosen over a pricey Aishwarya Rai to judge a dance It was a battle between two very popular actresses, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in which the former has emerged a winner. Madhuri has joined several Bollywood stars to judge the reality show, Dance Premier League.

Our source associated with the show said, “Madhuri and Aishwarya were both being considered to be the judge for one of the teams. Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri as she quoted an exorbitant amount of money. The makers of the show couldn’t afford her and the scales tipped in Madhuri’s favour as she had demanded an affordable price.”

Madhuri’s manager Riku Rakesh Nath said he could not reveal any details at this stage and said, “The discussion is still on.”

However, Danish Khan, VP Marketing of the channel admitted, “Yes, Madhuri has been chosen to represent one of the teams.” He refused to comment on the reason why Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri and said, “I don’t want to talk abut the money involved but Madhuri is definitely on board for Dance Premier League.”

Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan must be regretting their decision of signing Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ by now. The film, which is hailed as ‘jinxed’ has been facing innumerable obstacles right from the beginning. After facing legal hassles, accidents and nature’s wrath, the Bachchan couple is suffering due to lack of basic amenities in Nasik. Earlier, Aishwarya had taken ill while shooting for the film.

Although the locale is breathtaking but the cast and crew are having a tough time reaching the shooting site due to bad roads. Abhishek Bachchan, unable to bear the harrowing condition of roads called for his own Lexus all the way to Nasik so that he can travel with his wife through the foggy roads.

A source revealed to a news daily, “We are currently shooting in Malshej Ghats, on Pune-Nasik highway. The place we all are put up in is an hour away from the location. The entire unit with the cast travels for more than an hour to reach the location. Abhishek wasn`t happy with the car provided to them for their journey back and fro. He called for his Lexus (SUV) and drives it with his wife Aishwarya to the shoot.”

The source continued, “The roads are very terrible and there is too much of fog on the way while driving. AB junior manages to drive on the awful roads and reaches on time too. This is a month long schedule and has the Bachchan duo, Ravi Kishan, Nikhil Dwivedi along with the South actors.”
