Rumour has it that Salman Khan has been invited to the wedding reception of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.

While the Abhi-Ash wedding will strictly be a private affair (with relatives and close friends of the Bachchans and Rais), a large number of Bollywood celebrities are expected to attend the reception. And reports have it that Salman Khan, Aishwarya’s ex-flame, has also been invited.

It’s going to get hot on stage at the Zee Cine Awards in Malaysia on Sunday evening.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, along with Bollywood’s hottest couple Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan will perform at the event.

The 10th Annual Zee Cine Awards, to be held in Genting, Malaysia promises to be a star-studded show, with Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Urmila Matondkar and Shilpa Shetty in tow.

The festivities associated with Abhishek’s wedding with Aishwarya are expected to span three days. There will be a Sangeet ceremony on the 18 Apr and a Mehendi ceremony on the 19 Apr, both at the Bachchan residence - Jalsa.

Abhihsek will wed Aishawarya in the early morning hours of 20 Apr at Bachchan’s bungalow - Prateeksha. The baaraat will leave Jalsa for Prateeksha on the night of 19 Apr.

Paitiksha, the landmark bungalow at Juhu, home to the Bachchan family for nearly three decades, is being spruced up to house the soon-to-be wed celebrity couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aiswariya Rai.

Sources close to the family said that the interiors have been redesigned and refurnished during the last two weeks of hectic activity that went un-noticed behind the high walls and mammoth front gate.

With the news that Bollywood star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are to get married next month, late shehnai maestro Ustad Bismillah Khan’s nephew has expressed his desire to perform at the wedding.

“I have already sent my biodata to Amitabh Bachchan stating my desire to perform shehnai at his son Abhishek’s wedding and am hopeful of being invited by the family,” Mumtaz Hussain said on Tuesday.
