Aishwarya Rai is at the center of a family controversy and it doesn’t even involve her husband, Abishek Bachchan or his parents.

Rather, the controversy stems from a pair of saris that were created for and worn by Aishwarya Rai during her wedding ceremony in April. The two saris were created by famed designer Chaturbhuja Meher and attracted widespread attention after Aishwarya modeled them.

Now it seems Chaturbhuja’s design may have been inspired by a cousin. Kailash Meher has alleged that the designs on the two saris were taken from his painting “The Tree of Life” and Chaturbhuja is now being investigated for fraud. Police in eastern India are investigating a complaint that the designs on two saris created for Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai’s wedding were plagiarized from a previous work of art, police said.

The two intricately woven garments were made by award-winning craftsman Chaturbhuja Meher. Rai’s now father-in-law, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, purchased them for her April wedding to his son, actor Abishek Bachchan.

The saris, like the wedding, made a splash and now Meher’s cousin, Kailash Meher, has filed charges alleging that the designs were taken from his painting “The Tree of Life,” N.P. The Walt Disney movie company is to make a cartoon of the magical life of green-eyed Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai from her Indian beauty queen roots through to her Miss World Title and onto her stellar career as the queen of Bollywood it has been announced today.

With a provisional working title of ‘Foretold in the Stars: the fairytale life of Aishwarya Rai’ the cartoon will be made in conjunction with a Bollywood film company, Yash Raj Films, in the Hindi language.

Aishwarya Rai’s wedding into Bachan’s family seems to be causing problems for the in-laws.

Aishwarya who is a ‘Manglik’ (Khuja Dosh) had to perform special pujas and ceremonies before her marriage to mitigate the negative effects of her stars on the in-laws. However it does not seem to have helped her that much.

The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai may have just married into Indian cinema’s most powerful acting dynasty, but she seems unfazed by her illustrious in-laws, saying they are just ‘family to me.’

Ash married Abhishek Bachchan in April, creating what the media dubbed the “ultimate power couple.”

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan may be fighting with Mike Tyson for roles in Bollywood films if the former pugilist has his way.

Tyson, who recently appeared in a music video to promote the upcoming movie “Fool and Final,” said that he was approached by the film’s producer Firoz Nadiadwala about possibly appearing in future projects.

Rebutting speculation that the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai is having ‘second thoughts’ about doing Sarkar 2 , Ram Gopal Varma says the actress is very much part of the film, which goes on the floors sometime in June.

All the three lead actors – Amitabh Bachchan , Abhishek Bachchan and Ash – have already given dates for the film.

“Amitji, Abhishek and Aishwarya have confirmed their dates. There’s no question of Aishwarya having second thoughts. She has heard her role and then consented.
