Bollywood mega superstar and reincarnated global deity Aishwarya Rai has demanded to know why some relative newcomer like Rachel McAdams might be given first refusal to play a leading female role in the blockbuster movie Spoof! The Motion Picture following industry reports that the entire production would be outsourced to India.

The news comes after dire fisticuffs broke out between two central male characters vying for prominence in the film’s plot which is centered in an Agatha Christie-like setting of a cruise aboard an ocean going-liner cruising the balmy waters off Alaska’s Juneau Bay. Bollywood’s most beautiful couple, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, will have to watch each other play the role of spouse to another in the upcoming film “Sarkar Raj.”

Aishwarya Rai, the 1994 Miss World, and Abhishek Bachchan, son to legendary Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan were married in April of this year but when they share the screen in “Sarkar Raj” they will be anything but friendly.

Aishwarya Rai is not playing wife to Abhishek Bachchan in ‘Sarkar II’, but to play a power woman. Abhi is married to Tanisha in the same.

Cinematographer Amit Roy says, “Ash plays a character who is heading a power plant project. She comes from a hardcore corporate world of London and steps into Sarkar’s world.

Ash’s character, which goes by the name of Anita in the film, is a lot into power dressing too.” The shooting of the film has already begun in Hyderabad. A huge set has been built in Hyderabad that serves as Sarkar’s house. The outdoor scenes will be shot in Mumbai.

A controversial woman regional governor, Pratibha Patil, has pledged to give way over her appointment as India’s first female president in favor of glamorous Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai “because this would unify the entire country and elicit massive popular support across the political divides”.

Aishwarya Rai is all set to play Rani Lakshmibai in Ketan Mehta’s next directorial venture titled ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’.

The legendary ruler of Jhansi, who played a key role in the 1857 uprising against India’s then British colonial rulers. Lakshmibai died aged 23 on the battlefield while fighting British soldiers in 1858.

Ketan Mehta said he was completing the script for the movie ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ and the cast would include British actors. He also plans to hire British technicians and trainers for the action sequences.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is going great guns, and the latest news is that she has secured the ninth spot in a poll of the 100 most beautiful women of today. This is the second time that Aish has secured the similar position.

The entry has been officially made the July issue of Harpers and Queen. Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie tops the list.

The others following her in the list were model Christy Turlingron, Queen Rania of Jordon, Director Sofia Copolla and celebrity Chef Nigella Lawson.

Aishwarya Rai’s filmy influence has rubbed off on her secretary Hari Singh. Apart from handling Rai’s work, Hari is now also writing his own film script.

About his script, Hari says, “My film is based on the real story of India . I will portray our country as a Golden Bird but will also deal with the problems created by modernization done without proper thought process.”

“ I want to prove that because of our Government’s investments in wrong projects we are at a loss and what kind of problems we are creating for ourselves,” he added.

Bunty Walia decided to revive his abandoned project “ Just Punjabi ”. First-timer Jaspreet Walia will now direct ‘Just Punjabi’.

While Sanjay Dutt is still said to be a part of the project, Walia has reportedly approached Ash and Abhi for other main roles in the film.

Back then, it was reported that Sanjay Dutt had been signed for the lead role, while Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were in talks to act in the film. Just when it was rumoured that Bunty Walia had shelved his film ‘Just Punjabi’, the producer has decided to revive the project.

It has been close to two years since Walia announced his film. Back then, it was reported that Sanjay Dutt had been signed for the lead role, while Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were in talks to act in the film. Apoorva Lakhia was supposed to direct the movie.
