Aishwarya Rai, the apple of the nations eye, is suffering from German measles (Rubella infection), a viral infection characterized by fever, swollen and painful lymph nodes, and a runny nose.

Aishwarya Rai’ s manager Hari Singh has said that she will not be available for about 10 to 15 days for any promo or shooting as she is suffering from a bout of fever and is advised total rest. He confirmed that Aishwarya Rai has signed Robot and another production by Mani Ratnam, and also that she will be given a 2-month break from Shankar’s Robot when filming for Mani Ratnam’s film commences.

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai has reportedly been replaced by the Hollywood stunner Catherine Zeta Jones in a film to be co-produced by Michael Douglas.

Douglas is making an action adventure called Racing the Monsoon on the lines of his 1980s superhit ‘Romancing the Stone’. The Hollywood star visited India last year and agreed to co-produce the film with the Bollywood production house Percept Pictures Company.

Douglas is now back again in India to finalize the shooting locations and to get a glimpse of the monsoon. Continue reading ‘Aishwarya Rai dropped from Michael Douglas’ film’

Sanjay Dutt will replace South superstar Vikram in Mani Ratnam’s Next, which features star couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The film, based on real life characters, is an intense love story, a genre that Mani has not dabbled with in the past. Interestingly, the film pairs Sanjay Dutt and Aishwarya, not Abhishek and Aishwarya, as is widely assumed.

Vikram earlier played lead in Aparichit (2005), the Hindi version of of south film Anniyan (2005).

The sudden change, industry insiders claim, was dictated by the less than stellar showing of Abhishek - Aishwarya starrer Sarkar Raj at the box office. Continue reading ‘Mani Ratnam’s Abhishek - Aishwarya starrer to feature Sanjay Dutt’

So much that the actress seems to have no dates left to accommodate her Hollywood project ‘Chaos’ with Meryl Streep. ‘Chaos’ has been in news for more than two years but the project hasn’t yet rolled because the writers allegedly took their own sweet time in adapting the story from its French version.
