The story goes that Federer, who is in Toronto for the on-going Rogers Cup, arrived at Hilton Toronto on July 18, expecting to be given his favourite suite, unofficially known as the ‘Federer Suite’. To date, he has always been given the suite.

But to his surprise, he discovered that his suite had been allotted to Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai who were also in Toronto for The Unforgettable tour. Continue reading ‘Royal Treatment for Abhi-Ash!’

Five years ago, when he had no clue that he would one day marry her, Abhishek Bachchan had made a promise to Aishwarya Rai .

It happened during the making of their film Kuch Na Kaho in 2003 when Ash was headed for a world tour and tipped the organizers of the shows to ask Abhishek to be a part of the tour. Abhishek turned down the offer because he had no dates to spare. Since then Ash has been taunting him for that. But Abhi made a promise to her that one day he would definitely accompany her on a world tour.

Years passed and their lives turned out such that they ended up falling in love and getting married. Now, what did not materialize five years ago is finally going to happen. Continue reading ‘After 5 years, Abhishek finally keeps his promise to Aishwarya’

Abhishek Bachchan is playing the perfect doting husband to wife Aishwarya Rai. When she fell ill after rigorous rehearsals for their much talked about ‘Unforgettable’ world tour that kicks off in Toronto on Friday, Abhishek learnt her steps, too.

“We have been rehearsing for the tour non-stop for nearly a month now. Shiamak [Davar] has been working us around so hard to get our dance steps right that my wife Aishwarya fell sick with exhaustion. For three days, she could not move out of the house,” said Abhishek.

“That put an additional burden on me because I had to do her steps also, not only at the rehearsal hall but at home too in order to teach her the dance steps Shiamak had given her for the songs she would be dancing to during the tour,” he told reporters.

Abhishek says now he is ready to pitch in for both his father, Amitabh Bachchan, and wife.

“I told the ‘wizzies’ [members of Wizcraft, which is putting together the tour] that if she falls sick again and won’t be able to dance during the show they should not get panicky because I have learnt all her steps and might as well double for her. The Bachchans were so keen on having Madhuri Dixit in their The Unforgettable world tour that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made sure that the senior actress has no trouble balancing work and personal life.

Ash played the perfect bahu as she personally called up Madhuri Dixit’s husband Sriram Nene to assure him that his wife won’t have to stay away from home for too long due to the Bachchan’s world tour.

According to sources, Madhuri’s participation in the Bachchan’s world tour was quite an uncertain affair till Aishwarya

decided to take matters in her own hand. Of course, she was at her charming best and smoothly managed to convince Nene to let Madhuri join them. Continue reading ‘Dont Worry, Aishwarya is ‘Here’’

It is said that a biopic on the assassinated leader Benazir Bhutto will be made pretty soon by UTV and it is planning to induct Aishwarya Rai to play the beautiful leader.

A spokesperson from UTV said that it will divulge all information only after everything is finalized.

Aishwarya Rai is getting lots of film offers from the West and from within the country. The actress is quite happy these days after Sarkar Raj, which was a family affair; the film had Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the main roles

With a figure to die for, the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says that she not only avoids diets but is also a complete foodie.

“I love food. I eat a lot. And I am not embarrassed about it. I know it is kind of impossible to believe that I love eating and indulge in all my favorite foods whenever I get the chance, but that’s the honest truth.” Ash said to an unbelieving audience recently.

But in public Ash exercises restraint so that people do not stare at her. At home she gives way to her weakness.

The only time Ash had to diet was to prepare for the role in Dhoom 2 in which she had to cut her weight to a miniscule 54 kilos.

“It was a painful experience. I had to be 54 kgs and so for a month I was on a strict diet. That was the most painful period for me. And to add to my misery, I had to work out” Ash remembered.

At present Ash said she has a good metabolic rate and does not need to work out but she hits the gym a couple of times a week to keep fit.

Reminiscing about her movies she says she looks well fed in most movies except ‘Dhoom 2’ in which she looks well toned. But ‘Dhoom 2’ brings back unpleasant memories of her dieting.

Ash revealed that during the shooting of Sarkar Raj , the Bachchan family used to carry home cooked food.

But Ash said, “ I love all cuisines. And any time is a good chow time.”

Sonal steps into Ash’s shoes

Sonal Chauhan to step into Aishwarya Rai’s shoes. The success of Jannat has certainly created a ‘Jannat’ for actress Sonal Chauhan. Besides producers and directors making a beeline for her, Sonal is also garnering popularity in international circuits.

According to the latest buzz, she has been approached by international director and producer Jagmohan Mundra.

Mundra’s last film Provoked starring Aishwarya Rai, was the most-talked-about film in the commercial as well as the festival circuits. And now after working with the Bollywood queen Ash, the director has approached Sonal for his women centric theme.

Sonal, of course, is looking forward to working with the director and also playing a character that will go down in the annals of history. After all you do not get to do scripts that revolve around you everyday.

But that does not mean that Sonal is saying yes to everything that comes her way. In fact the actress is being very choosy and selective because she wants to do roles that make her presence felt in the film irrespective of the length.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s much anticipated Hollywood biggie ‘Racing the Monsoon’ has come to standstill with Michael Douglas dropping the Indian beauty from his home production.

Just when we believed that Ash was our own answer to Hollywood, the damsel’s Hollywood plans have hit a roadblock, as she is no longer a part of Douglas’s movie for which she was to initially play the main lead.

The film ‘Racing the Monsoon’ is being jointly produced by Michael Douglas’s ‘Further Films’ and ‘Percept Picture Company’s’ Shailendra Singh. Douglas’s wife Catherine Zeta Zones has stepped in place of Aishwarya.

Though the reasons for the change are known, industry insiders are citing Zeta’s global appeal over Aishwarya as a possible reason for the move.

‘Racing the Monsoon’ will see Douglas portraying a double role and the movie premise is based around a diamond robbery, which occurs on an Indian train.
