As if this punishing schedule is not enough, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been travelling non-stop for the past month or so, from New York to Berlin, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, back to Mumbai, and on to Kolkata to shoot for Mani Ratnam’s Ravan at Agarpara.

Paradoxically, Aishwarya seems to have conquered tiredness with more work. At least that is what it seems like when I catch up with her at 10 pm in her room at the Vedic Village. Aishwarya Rai, who is currently shooting for director Mani Ratnam’s film Ravana here, said her character is not called ‘Sita’ in the film that also stars her husband Abhishek Bachchan.

“The name of my character is not ‘Sita’. I am playing a woman who has similarities with the Sita of ‘Ramayana’,” the actor told reporters at the press conference of her new Hollywood flick here.

Ash is on a world wind tour! Just a few weeks ago we saw Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with hubby in tow at the New York premiere of her film The Pink Panther 2, Ash was also spotted in LA doing rounds for her film. And this time round she was in Kolkata on Friday talking about her just release film.

“Working in Pink Panther was a wonderful experience. It’s a family experience. A complete joy ride,” says Ash.

Ace cinematographer Rajiv Menon captured some really beautiful moments between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Guru’. Now Rajiv is all set to direct Bollywood’s most talked about couple in his next film.

Reporters spoke to the South based cinematographer who confirmed the news. “Yes…Abhishek and Aishwarya are starring in my next directorial venture titled ‘Dhun’. director Vipul Shah will start the shoot of his new film starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from 5 March, 2009.

The movie is tentatively titled Action Replay.
