Aishwarya, Abhishek on Oprah Winfrey show

It’s been more than two years since Aishwarya Rai last appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show on American television. Back then, her detractors found her too giggly and a tad superficial on the show even though she made Oprah don the Indian saree.

This time, it was not just Ash but also her hubby Abhishek Bachchan who was invited for Oprah’s show. Last week, the couple reportedly flew to the US to shoot for the episode.

Oprah has been known for her brilliant skills as the host of her multiple-award winning show where celebrities have opened their hearts and shared their deepest secrets. Aishwarya Rai inspires Tamil RAAVANA Vikram in KANTHASWAMY!!

Aishwarya Rai, the gorgeous bollywood beauty who plays the character of Sita in Hindi and Tamil versions of Mani Rathnam’s upcoming flick ‘Raavana’ opposite Vikram(who plays Raavana in Tamil, Abhishek Bachchan plays Raavan in Hindi version), has inspired the Tamil superstar to perform on her super hit Hindi song numbers in his film ‘Kanthaswamy’.

Vikram, who has a huge following in south, has cross-dressed as Aishwarya Rai and performed on songs taken form her films ‘Taal’ and ‘Devdas.’ Sources say that this particular sequence of Vikram has the audience asking for more in theatres and they are thronging to auditoriums more and more to see just this sequence. ‘Fit’ Aishwarya returns to work

There’s no dearth of the well-wishers of Aishwarya Rai. Just a few days back, when it was learnt that the actress is down with “flu-like symptoms”, rumour began to make rounds that it’s probably swine flu and her well-wishers sent her so many “speedy-recovery” messages that her cell phone crashed.

“But it was the common flu. For some bizarre reason, every body assumed that I already had swine-flu. Whoever started that rumour, it caused my phone crash. But, that was not true,” Aishwarya said at the launch of the Conquest Ceramic series of Longines watches in Hyderabad. She’s the brand ambassador of the Swiss watchmaker.

Aishwarya ’s film in forest trouble

The shooting of Mani Ratnam’s film Ravan, starring Aishwarya Rai, has hit a roadblock once again with

the forest authorities in Maharashtra slapping cases against 14 members of the film’s crew, charging them with trespassing on forest property.

Aishwarya shooting three films at once!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is busy juggling her time shooting for three films. She is back from the South after shooting for Shankar’s Endhiran and Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, which took longer than scheduled to complete shooting, hampered the shoot of Vipul Shah’s Action Replay.

Aishwarya still has to shoot for three songs for Action Replay and so the film will not release in October this year. All the travelling has made Ash sick and she was recently down with fever. But despite of that she shot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish because Hrithik Roshan didn’t have any extra dates. She is also upset that two of her songs from Endhiran has made their way to the Internet.

Vivek on the sets of Aishwarya’s film

By a strange coincidence, the ex boyfriends of Aishwarya Rai have been shooting close to the sets of her film Guzaarish in Mehboob Studios in the last few days. First it was Salman Khan who was shooting for his film Veer in the same studio. Now, it was Vivek doing a photo shoot for director Rensil D’Silva’s film Kurbaan close to the sets of ‘Guzaarish’ last week.

Aishwarya Rai has chest infection and flu like symptoms

Actress Aishwarya Rai is down with a ‘chest infection’ and ‘flu-like symptoms’ and her father-in-law, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, is worried.

Abhishek to get Aishwarya’s name tattooed?

Bollywood’s male stars seem to have found a definitive way of showing their love to their better half – getting her name tattooed. Saif Ali Khan has Kareena Kapoor’s name inked on his wrist in Devanagri and recently Hrithik Roshan too got wifey Sussane’s name tattooed.

Now, Abhishek Bachchan, the least expected of all, is rumoured to be planning to get Ash’s name tattooed on his wrist. However, Abhi is said to be in a dilemma over the language in which he should get Ash’s name inked. Should it be in English or in Hindi or Devanagri?

Aishwarya Rai ‘may have swine flu’

Aishwarya Rai, one of Bollywood royalty’s biggest names, has been fallen ill and there are fears she may have contracted swine flu. The news of Rai’s condition was revealed by her father-in-law, the celebrated actor Amitabh Bachchan. “Aishwarya has taken ill and is down with chest infection and flu like symptoms,” he wrote on his blog from Singapore. Bachchan, known to filmgoers as ‘Big B’ added that Rai “had a high fever yesterday but is settling down today.”

Though it is thought that Rai is simply suffering from normal influenza, there are rumours that she has gone down with swine flu.

Bachchan revealed that although he was in a different country to Rai he was still worried about his daughter-in-law’s health. “It’s worrying to be so far away from children and not be there to look after them.
